Melt butter and add cocoa, add to egg mixture. Add 1 cup chopped nuts. Bake over water in 350 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool and slice. Serve with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.
Blend together eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla. Add chocolate and shortening. Gradually add flour. Mix well until evenly blended. Pour into greased shallow 10 inch by 15 inch pan. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Bake 25 to 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Cut while warm.
