Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 C sugar
• 1 C shortening
• 1 C brown sugar, packed
• 2 eggs
• 2 C flour
• 1 tsp soda
• ½ tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp salt
• 2 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 C oatmeal
• 1½ C chopped pecans

Directions

Cream shortening, sugars and eggs. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Dough will be very stiff. Place mounds of cookie dough (about one Tbsp on greased cookie sheet and bake 10-12 minutes at 350. Cookies will not look done.
