Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies (Copycat Recipe)

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. (300°F for dark pans.)
  2. In a bowl, cream together the 1 C butter and sugar.
  3. Add vanilla extract and flour; mix until smooth.
  4. Shape level teaspoons of dough into log shapes.
  5. Place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake for 17 to 19 minutes or until golden brown. Cool.
  6. Microwave chocolate chips and 1 Tbsp butter for 2 minutes; stir until smooth.
  7. Spread chocolate on flat side of cookie and top with the other.
